For years I've been my mothers marketer but I never thought of using my Vintage Joint shop to show her awesome heirloom gowns to the World. Elisa Vincenty- my mother and a great baby seamstress and hand stitcher. For years she's been both student and teacher. Never stops going to class, as everyday you can learn something new. All of her work is made with dedication and detail. She loves this so much, its natural for her to be working on five projects at a time. Crazy? You bet! Now here is her story: "Desde adolescente sentí atracción hacia las labores de aguja, tejer era mi pasatiempo en los veranos. En las ferias de artesanías las paradas obligadas eran los puestos de ropita de bebé confeccionadas con calados y encajes de mundillo. Pero no fue hasta muchos años después que tuve la oportunidad de tomar clases de mundillo con una maestra mocana y de allí llegué a casa de Doña Sari, maestra artesana en calado y bordado para bebé. Comenzé a confeccionar ropita de bebé desde el 2004, sin tener a quién ponersela, pués mis hijos ya no eran bebés. Mi inventario fue creciendo, mis amigas me recomendaron vender. Los pedidos fueron aumentando, órdenes desde PR a EEUU. Para hacerlo más accesible surgió la idea de ofrecer mis piezas aquí en VintageJoint. Los diseños son calados y bordados tradicionales del pasado, transformados con materiales finos y encajes exquisitos para darle a cada pieza la elegancia que resalta la delicadeza de nuestros bebés." -- Elisa "Ajuar para el Bebé ?
